Joe Neguse is an attorney, civic leader, and public servant who has spent his career fighting to expand opportunities for families across the state of Colorado. His parents, naturalized citizens from Eritrea, inspired him to treasure the freedom and opportunities the United States provides and motivated Joe to be active in public service.
A proud resident of the 2nd Congressional District, Joe served as elected member of the University of Colorado Board of Regents. He also co-founded New Era Colorado, the largest youth voter registration and mobilization non-profit in the state. Most recently, Joe led Colorado’s state consumer protection agency, a cabinet position that oversaw over 600 employees and a $90 million budget, for two years. His candidacy has earned the endorsement of individuals and organizations state and nationwide.
Joe, 33, holds a BS in Economics and Political Science from the University of Colorado Boulder and graduated from CU Law School in 2009. Joe lives in Lafayette, CO with his wife Andrea.Joe's Website
